This is another experiment, and another hoping to turn the page, or change the reel, or whatever it takes to create some more links on this blog. I am certain that this is tantamount to the next best thing happening to "websites" especially "personal websites" on the internet. This is a rushed essay about Alfred Hitchcock, and the movie "The Birds" of which I have the French movie poster featured, from Mr. Bernard's photo images on webshots.

Alfred Hitchcock

As of as far back
as I can remember, Hitch epitomized the ultimate director. The film
makiing process as craft and art become known to me simply by watching
the masterpieces of "suspense" by master of same. Like any
greate artist, Alfred Hitchcock, the director of Britain's first sound
film, imptoved, elaborated and elucidated his themes until they were
honed to a fine sheen. "Oiseaux" is a suburban horror story
set in colorful Eastwood country.
But something
is awry in paradise, and Hitch keeps the audience at least as much
on the edge of their seats at Spielberg fourteen years later.
